Then you'll be able to just pop it right out.k.lindahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11854811567240823149noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3215545723237458252.post-77559188107189118252009-03-18T14:44:00.000-06:002009-03-18T14:44:00.000-06:00If you have a local feed store, they might have ly...If you have a local feed store, they might have lye in the plumbing/drain cleaners section. That's where I buy my Red Devil Lye...very very nasty caustic stuff, and very dangerous.marci357https://www.blogger.com/profile/08464308058830198491noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3215545723237458252.post-53354813276817784622009-03-16T21:25:00.000-06:002009-03-16T21:25:00.000-06:00I have a soap-making book I bought a long time ago...I have a soap-making book I bought a long time ago, but have yet to make a single bar. Anything remotely scientific freaks me out. And by the looks of your pictures (goggles, gloves, aprons)I'd have a Hazmat disaster on my hands!

However, I am trying to go "greener" with my household cleaners. So I ordered some Castile soap from Mabel's Miracles (http://www.mabelsmiracles.com/) and I got it in the mail today. We'll see how it works.

I tried Dr. Bronners Magic Soap (also Castile), but it dried my skin out terribly.

Mabel's is supposed to be a better product. We'll see.

Anyhow, I'm wondering if you have any experience with Castile soap. Have you ever used it? Do you like it? Etc. I'd love to know.

P.s. Good luck with the homemade mayo. I think you're going to like it. It's not just good in a pinch, it's great for all-the-time use. You'll have to let me know what you think!

P.s.s. Can't wait for your next soap-making adventure. I really do want to learn how to make it. I just want a fool-proof (I'm a fool in the kitchen) recipe.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3215545723237458252.post-11612784765791804812009-03-13T11:18:00.000-06:002009-03-13T11:18:00.000-06:00i think instructions and exact measurements are ov...i think instructions and exact measurements are over rated!!!!
